Abstract:
This paper gives an overview of some new or less well-known static and dynamic heating strategies that are used today in ornamental production.
Main emphasis is laid on the effects of these strategies on day and night temperatures or - depending on the model that is used - on temperature fluctuation and the daily mean temperature.
Furthermore, the effects on morphogenesis and flowering are analyzed.
Energy saving aspects and technical restrictions, as well as optimization possibilities, are also discussed.
