QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF TOMATO CULTIVARS FOR PROCESSING |

| Abstract:
The Yugoslav cultivars Luna F1 and Lido F1 yielded high, they were susceptible to splitting, with fruits more than 100 g weight, solids 5.0 to 5.4 %. Luna should be suitable for processing in concentrate with the relation sugar: acids 8.8:1; it had low C vitamin content. Foreign cultivar Manado F1 had the same yield as Luna F1 and Lido F1. Its fruits were less susceptible for splitting, with average fruit weight below 100 g, with the highest C vitamin content and the relation sugar:acids 5.1:1 which is convenient for processing in juice. These three cultivars were the best among 13 Yugoslav and foreign cultivars in two years experiment on two locations. | |
