| Abstract:
Transient expression of the GUS gene has been obtained in bean explants by using a simple, home-made and rather inexpensive biolistic device. Several factors related to the apparatus itself, as well as to the whole procedure, have been analyzed in order to maximize the performance of the method, as a first step towards the employment of this system in experiments of bean genetic transformation. | |
