Abstract:
Several species (apple rootstocks M26, Cost M9; peach seedlings sel. 7010200 and P102; nectarines cv Mayfair and Weinberger; almonds cv Fascionello and sel.
MN51) have been employed for the experiments.
The factors investigated were the kind and the dosage of hormones and sugars, the concentration of macroelements, the etiolation.
Observations were made on the rooting percentage and the quality of the roots, the expression of the isozymes of peroxidase (PO), polyphenoloxidase (PPO), malate dehydrogenase (MDH) and esterase, as well.
Darkness and genotype markedly affected the percentage and quality of the roots.
Some polymorphisms seem to reveal differences between developmental stages.
