Abstract:
The selected plum ecotype 'bistrica' (Prunus domestica L.) was introduced in vitro to develop a method of mass vegetative propagation.
The results of shoot development of 'bistrica' cultured in vitro prompts the use of low BAP concentrations.
The best shoot proliferation was achieved on Murashige-Skoog medium containing 0.25 mg/1 BAP and 0.1 mg/1 IBA. The addition of 0.1 and 0.05 mg/1 GA3 to the medium did not enhance neither shoot proliferation nor shoot elongation.
There was almost no multiplication on medium with 2iP, but the elongation of the transferred explant was good.
