| Abstract:
The Sociedad Espanò de Ciencian Horticolar (SECH) includes 15 work groups and is open to all people interested in professional horticulture. Nevertheless, there is a Horticulture Professional Society (Sociedad Espanòla de Horticultura) whose members are professional only. We keep in touch with this society. A bulletin is published 3–4 times per year. Since the Congress of October 1988, SECH has started the publication of the Actas de Horticultura (Horticulture Records); these technical and non-technical communications include the Proceedings of the National Congress and of the work groups symposia. For the present, the SECH has published no books. A Horticulture Dictionary is planned for the next three years. The SECH holds a National Congress each two years. This is the main activity of the SECH. For the present, four National Congressses have held (Valencia '83, Cordoba '86, Tenerifwe '88 and Lisboa '90). The last one was coordinated with the obligation to organize a meeting (workshop, symposia, ...) between congress dates. The society holds an Annual Assembly every two years as part of the Congress. The SECH grants two prizes each year for young researchers. | |
