| Abstract:
A study of British produce importing companies was completed using Soft System Methodologies (SSM). Extensive interviews were conduced with top level managers. Their operations were learned through the development of root definitions and conceptual models. An approach was proposed for using SSM to investigate the desirability of implementing BSI 5700 Quality Assurance standards. Another application of SSM is suggested for modeling complete postharvest systems. | |
