Abstract:
Trials in kiwifruit orchards over a 3 year period showed that annual augmentative releases of P. persimilis in January, at a rate of c.10 adult females/m of shelter belt tree, controlled T. urticae by the end of March and prevented mite infestation of fruit at harvest.
