Author:   P.R. Sale
Keywords:   pollination, pest control, maturity standards, mineral nutrition
Abstract:
The area planted in kiwifruit has increased dramatically in the last two decades. In this time the fruit has developed from a minor item of curiosity to having a recognised place in the international fruit trade. In that time production methods have evolved due to a number of forces such as market signals, quarantine requirements and economic pressures, along with increasing technological assistance.
