EFFECT OF PACLOBUTRAZOL ON FLORAL MALFORMATION, YIELD AND QUALITY OF MANGO (MANGIFERA INDICA L.)

Authors:   Z. Singh, B.S. Dhillon
Abstract:
The foliar spray and soil drench application of cultar at zero, 10, 20, 40 and 60 g/tree to mango (Mangifera indica L.) cv. Dusehri prior to flower bud differentiation during the first week of October has significantly reduced floral malformation and increased the fruit yield. In general, soil application of cultar was more effective than foliar spray application. Most of the desirable effects viz. lowest incidence of floral malformation, highest yield and TSS/acid ratio of the fruit were achieved with the soil application of cultar (20 g/tree).
