Abstract:
Iceland poppy is an interesting ornamental plant, still little cultivated in Italy.
Nutrient and water requirements of this species are not completely known, for very few investigations on the subject have been done.
It is generally accepted that the species is quite easy to grow, on condition that temperature be not high and lighting not low.
Quality of flowers, nevertheless, could be very reduced in conditions of stress.
Trough previous works we have ascertained the response to fertilization of Iceland poppy plants grown into pots; the present trial deals with fertilization and irrigation applied to plants grown on benches in the greenhouse.
