AGROTECHNICAL MODELS AND COSTS OF PRODUCTION IN APRICOT ORCHARDS IN CAMPANIA

Authors:   F. Pennone, I. Santangelo, D. Tosco
Abstract:
The work reports about the first results of an operative research carried out by "Istituto Sperimentale per la Frutticoltura di Roma" e "Regione Campania", to pursue the following main objectives:
  • to individuate and to describe the main productive typologies of apricot-tree in Campania to extend the regional data-bank about productive processes of arborical cultivations;
  • to analyse the cost of production of apricot-tree in different productive situation and estimate the real remuneration of the factors of production.

The first economic analyses reveal that, with the present situation of prices, if a cultivation is rationally carried on, good economic results are generally assured. Remuneration regarding factors of production reaches middle or high levels for irrigated cultivations with early cultivars.

As regards under tunnel cultivations, acquired date, clearly indicate a convenience to effect the necessary large investements.
