NEST PLANTING OF APRICOT-TREES

Authors:   B. Ristevski, P. Kolechevski, R. Ristevski
Abstract:
Since 1983 and 1985, have been raised three experimental orchards with the nest's planting of apricot-trees, by 1, 2 and 3 plants per each planting site. At two experimental orchards have been planted nursery trees on a distance of 50 cm one by one. The third experimental orchard was raised with a direct planting of the germinated seed into the orchard and with the buding on August.

First two years at all variants was noticed an uniform develope of plants, while, from the third year of developing the nest's planted trees stunted in comparison to individually done.

The yield per fruit-tree with two plants in the nest is less for about 25% than the control one (by individual fruit-trees). While the yield at the variant with three plants per a nest was almost twice less than at the control. Contrary is with the yield per nest and by unit square, where the yield is higher for about 45–67% in comparison to the control. The difference between two and three plants per nest is small, therefore for the practice it's recomending the raising on orchards with two trees per plants site, because it is cheaper and much more convenient for the mechanical cultivation.
