FLORAL MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HUNGARIAN APRICOT VARIETIES

Author:   D. Surányi
Abstract:
There are significant remarks of flowers as components of self-fertility morphologically, so that mean size of petal, diameter of stigma, stamen number/pistil length ratio, pistil length, pollen germination and apistilly. These floral compartements are genotypic characters, but self-fertility, pollen germination and apistilly had been a very dependence upon years, so that ecological factors.

The frequency of defective flowers has important information to cultivars, it was an indicator of the climate sensitivity.

The sum of temperature in September and rainy mass in July are affected strongly on the apistilly, the value of actual temperature and sunshine are taking a prominent in pollen germination.

There were six flower remarks as describators of cultivars in Hungary.
