| Abstract:
Since 1949 apricot tree breeding has commenced aiming to develop improved varieties and stocks suitable for commercial apricot production in the northernmost European apricot growing region, namely in southern Moravia where at present there are about 3,000 ha of large orchards. The purpose is to achieve growing certainty and harvest regularity that cannot be ensured using variety assortment available nowadays. | |
