Abstract:
The necessity to distribute the new, adaptable cultivars throughout the different climatic environments of Italy is evidenced.
Since 1971, a program of genetic advancement of the apricot has been presented in Florence with the specification of the 4 very early and early selections considered valuable and successfully studied in the diverse climatic environments of the Tuscan Maremma and Emilia-Romagna.
The selections described are labeled: "DOFI-71A.144" (ripening 3 days before "Tyrinthos"), "DOFI-71A.586" (equal ripening to "Tyrinthos"), "DOFI-71A.613" and "DOFI-71A.626" (5–6 days after "Tyrinthos").
