BIOCHEMICAL AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL CARACTERISATION OF 400 APRICOT VARIETIES. CONSEQUENCES IN THE APRICOT SELECTION AND IMPROVEMENT PROCESS

Authors:   J. Marc AUDERGON, J. Marie DUFFILLOL, M. SOUTY, L. BREUILS, M. REICH
Abstract:
An approach of apricot fruit quality characterization was conducted on other than 400 cultivars varying from the producing countries and investigated in French conditions. Different critera were noted as soluble solids, pH, total sugar and titratable acidity contents.

An interesting genetic variability characterization was planed on. Consequences on apricot genetic improvement are discussed.
