Abstract:
The chemization of agriculture in our country has led to a fast increase of the applied amounts of mineral fertilizers at fertilization of different farm crops.
There were considerable increases of the rates of fertilization of vegetable crops.
A good deal of the investigations for establishing the appropriate rates of fertilization of vegetable crops are directed towards tomatoes and peppers.
With cabbage these investigations in our country are comparatively lesser.
From existing investigations it can be seen that the white head cabbage is a crop susceptible to the nutritive regime of the soil [7, 8, 9], responds to the mineral and organic fertilization [2, 4, 10, 13, 14] at which is changed not only the yield, but there are substantial changes in the quality of the produce as well [1, 3, 5, 6, 11, 12]. Since 1967 tests have been carried out for establishing the appropriate quantities and ratios of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in fertilization of white head cabbage, planted as a catch crop after early tomatoes.
There were made two field experiments - without FYM and the same scheme of variants with annual fertilization with 40t/ha FYM, applied during the autumnal ploughing.
