PLANT BIOTECHNOLOGIES APPLIED TO A FOREST TREE, THE AMERICAN RED OAK (QUERCUS RUBRA L.)

Abstract:
Plant biotechnologies were applied to the American red oak in our lab to improve the vegetative multiplication techniques for a rapid implantation of selected trees in France. Three main objectives are involved : micropropagation, regeneration and rejuvenation of adult materials. Results are shown concerning each of them.
