Abstract:
Shoots of seven miniature rose cultivars multiplied in vitro were rooted on different media solidified with agar.
The influence of mineral salts reduction and/or activated charcoal addition on root initiation was investigated.
Medium containing ½ of Murashige and Skoog (1962) salts concentration and activated charcoal at 1 g/1 was appropriate for all tested cultivars.
On this medium 90–100% shoots regenerated roots within two weeks of culture.
