Abstract:
In vitro growth of common oak buds taken from seedlings or juvenile plants was studied.
Short nodal segments with 1 or 2 axillary buds and shoot tips were used as initial explants.
Rapid multiplication of axillary shoots has been achieved on GD medium containing low level of cytokinin (0.9 μM BA). Rooting was obtained on half strength GD medium with reduced concentration of sucrose (2%) and NaFeEDTA (30 mg/l) and supplemented with IBA.
