Abstract:
In vitro plantlet regeneration of Pinus durangensis Mart., "Durango pine", and Pinus greggii Engelm., "Gregg pine", was obtained from cotyledon explants on a modified medium of Schenk and Hildebrandt (1972) suplemented with benzyladenine at 3.0 mg L-1. It was possible to establish four steps in the micropropagation process (from establishment of the aseptic culture up to rooting), which were completed in approximately 5–6 months, with an average of 100 shoots per explant.
