YIELD OF CUCUMBER AND ZUCCHINI CVS. UNDER NON-HEATED GREENHOUSES WITH DIFFERENT COVERS |

| Abstract:
Agronomical performance trials of zucchini and cucumbers commercial varieties were conducted under non-heated greenhouses covered with different plastic films. Two agronomical cycles were performed during spring and autumn seasons. Air temperature, relative humidity and yield quality were recorded. As main result, it appeared that the plant productivity either in cucumber or in zucchini cvs. was strongly different among the cover treatments. During the autumn season, it was registered a marked reduction of productivity specially in cucumber cvs. The agronomical data pointed out the importance for producers of using adapted covers and varieties in order to achieve satisfactory results for growing cucumber and zucchini under non-heated greenhouses. | |
