Abstract:
The possibility of using different heating methods in plastic houses is studied.
Diurnal cycles and/or vertical profiles of the thermal measurements were reported as well as the sweet pepper plant structural parameters and yield.
The benefit-cost ratios have been determined for each treatment.
The benefit-cost ratio for warm-air treatment was shown to be high, although straw treatment had the highest value due to the very low incremental cost of straw.
Data were discussed in view of the local microclimates.
