PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATIONS ON LEAF MINERAL COMPOSITION OF 6 WALNUT VARIETIES |

| Abstract:
The contents of N,P,K,Ca,Mg,S,Fe,Mn,Zn,Cu and B in the leaves of 6 walnut varieties (Corne, Feltrina , Mayette, Payne, Pedro and Sorrento) were tested. The leaves were sampled to the beginning of July and before harvest. The result of the first 2 years of investigations pointed out a great variability in the mineral composition as related to the cultivar, the sampling period and the year. It is possible to remark the high leaf content of Boron (more than 100 ppm) wich in 1988 doubles in the second sampling period. | |
