THE DEGREE OF THE PUBESCENT AT PISTIL OF VARIOUS PLUM SPECIES, CULTIVARS AND CLONES

Abstract:
Considering of the variation of 43 plum and prune cultivars and clones of Prunus domestica L., Prunus insititia L-ecotypes of Prunus spinosae L. and Prunus cerasifera Ehr. including Prunus pissardi were studied the significance differences in the length of pistil with or without pubescents, then part of the pistil length without pubescents, distribution, density and length of pubescent at ovary and style.

It was shown by F-test and Duncan's New Multiple Range Test that the investigated parameters of pistil can be use as one of method for determinate plum and prune cultivars, clones or ecotypes.
