Abstract:
Plants were recovered from protoplasts of 'MM.106' apple rootstock, by transferring intact regenerating calli, from regeneration medium, to a standard micropropagation medium, the latter with an increased level of group B vitamins.
Regeneration capacity, of such callus, was retained over long-term culture.
Calli with nodular structures can now be produced from protoplasts of 'Bramley's Seedling' apple.
