Abstract:
Callus of Actinidia deliciosa cv.
Hayward was cultured under blue, red and white light at the same radiation intensity and at two lower intensities for red light.
Substantial shoot regeneration occurred only with red light at the highest intensity.
Root regeneration was observed in all treatments but was earlier under red light.
Regeneration proved to be independent of chlorophyll content of the callus cultures, and was related to fresh weight.
