Abstract:
Secondary embryogenesis in cherry rootstock GM9 (P. incisa x P. serrula) occurred in shaken liquid medium without any hormones.
Carbon sources and concentrations markedly influenced the growth of the embryogenic calli and the homogenous development of isolated somatic embryos.
Sucrose, maltose, glucose, fructose, sorbitol, and mannitol were compared.
Maltose was the best carbon source for somatic embryogenesis process.
