ISHS Acta Horticulturae 280: I International Symposium on In Vitro Culture and Horticultural Breeding

EFFECT OF CULTURE CONDITIONS AND LEAF SELECTION ON ORGANOGENESIS OF MALUS DOMESTICA CV. MCINTOSH "WIJCIK" AND PRUNUS CANESCENS BOIS GM79.

Author:   Ph. Druart
Abstract:
Environmental factors such as container closed, Gro lux light and light exposure of the adaxial leaf side were favourable to adventitious budding of Malus domestica Borkh. cv. McIntosh "WIJCIK" wounded leaves. Optimal volume of culture medium would be 5 to 6 ml/leaf in petri-dishes. Leaf reactivity depended on its origin from the mother-shoot, the mother-tuft age and the culture medium according specifically to the species Malus domestica cv. McIntosh "WIJCIK" and P. canescens Bois GM79.
