| Abstract:
In view of setting up the Basilicata Agrometeorological Service a preliminary regional climatic zonation has been worked out on the basis of 20 years of daily temperature and precipitation data from 22 stations. The cumulative frequency distribution of some important agricultural variables have been computed: as an example the "accumulated temperature" is shown. Furthermore the mean monthly evpotranspiration has been estimated by means of the Thornthwaite formula. A first climatic classification has been defined: some areas where further analysis is needed have been identified. | |
