| Abstract:
Investigations about method of control of CMV disease have been started many years ago in several tomato producting countries. The recrudescence of necrotic epidemics in meditteraneean areas, have reinforced the necessity to pursue and to develop these researchs. Survey cover the kinds of investigations and measures that been tried for the control of CMV on Tomato : removal of plant sources of infection ; vector control by insect-proof seed-bed, mineral oils, mulch and other cultural practices ; classical selection for CMV resistance in tomato and prospects for capside or satellite-mediated transgenic virus resistance. | |
