Abstract:
The influence of different interstems on mineral nutrients content /N, P, K, Ca, Mg/ in the leaves of 11 years old sweet cherry trees was investigated.
Trees of two cultivars Van and Büttner's Red grafted on Prunus avium and Prunus mahaleb seedlings with interstems of: weak growing hybrids of, sour cherry, different types of Prunus fruticosa Pall., sweet and sour cherry cultivars were compared with trees grafted directly on Prunus avium seedlings, used as control.
It was found, that interstems had a significant influence on the level of mineral elements in the leaves except phosphorus.
Interstems significantly increased content of magnessium and decreased content of potassium in the leaves of Van cv.
In case of Büttner's Red cv., the same effects were found only with trees grafted on Prunus mahalebags. seedlings
