| Abstract:
Billing's original fire blight risk assessment system (BOS) has been modified in the light of experience. The revised system (BRS) is simpler, more logical and more precise than BOS. User's are requested to apply the terms “Billing's system” and BRS only when the system is used in full and without modification. Problems can arise when the concepts of a system user differs from those of the designer so, concepts underlying the current approach are outlined. Details of the revised methods used in BRS are described. | |
