Abstract:
Phytosanitary inspections were made in 33 nurseries over the last two years.
The constant presence of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. asparagi was always higher than that of Fusarium moniliforme, Fusarium roseum and Fusarium solani. The latter was mainly observed in the roots, whereas Fusarium moniliforme was predominant in the crowns and shoots.
Fusarium oxysporum also occurred in nurseries where the asparagus seed had been pretreated and in cultivations undamaged by rust.
