Abstract:
Farming systems of individual farmers in the Hararghe highlands as investigated by one visit interviews of 369 peasants in 75 Peasant Associations are diversified mixed cropping and livestock systems.
They heavily depend on the varying of the agro-ecological conditions.
Coffee and t'chat play a major role as cash crops.
Incomes are low and intra-sectoral income disparity is high.
