Abstract:
The agronomic and economic potentials of mixed perennial tree cropping are illustrated in a research model established in the Mid-country of Sri Lanka.
An evaluation of this model has shown that intensified cultivation with a large number of tree crop species is agronomically feasible and generates substantial financial returns to the grower.
With certain modifications, the model can be recommended to small upland farmers of Sri Lanka.
