Abstract:
Farmers in the Northern Region of Sudan have traditionally practiced fruit and vegetable production over the years.
Datepalm, citrus, banana, mango, beans, peas, lentils, onions, garlic and spices production dominate in the region.
In this paper, the agricultural sector features, ownership of agricultural land, production relations, vegetable and fruit production, consumption and marketing in the Northern Region of Sudan are described.
