| Abstract:
The most active pesticides applied as a wet dipping against gladiolus thrips on corms were Actellic 50 EC (pirimiphos-methyl) - 0.1%, Orthene 75 SP (acephate) - 0.1% and Cymbusz 25 EC (cypermethrin)- 0.05%. The effectiveness of Tamaron SL 600 (methamidophos) applied as a foliar spray in a concentration of 0.1%, was very satisfactory if the time of application was determined on the basis of the number thrips found in the leaf sheaths. | |
