| Abstract:
Investigations on several strawberry varieties on the effect of Verticillium albo-atrum culture filtrates (CF) revealed differences in in vitro shoot proliferation and on leaf tissue electrolyte leakage. The results, in most cases, paralleled the field susceptibility of the tested cultivars to the disease. The possibility to use one of these methods for resistance evaluation of strawberry varieties and for a fast screening technique is discussed. | |
