| Abstract:
Strawberry, cv. Gorella, gives best yield in a fine peat mixture, moderately compacted. A higher porosity of coarser substrate, can be countered by a higher compaction. Drip irrigation frequency should be adapted. The decisive influence on total yield was by fertilization techniques : fertigation with a complete nutrient solution was about 30 % superior to normal slow release fertilizer application. | |
