| Abstract:
Due to an increased competition on the early-season market for fresh strawberries, and on the market for processed strawberries, Dutch strawberry growers direct themselves more and more to a late harvest period (August-October). For that aim a method with so-called cold stored waiting-bed plants is mainly used, which requires much skill. Experimental results of important features of this method are reviewed. | |
