| Abstract:
The ion leakage of leaf discs of two strawberry varieties: Cesena (resistant), and Gorella (highly susceptible), challenged with Rhizoctonia fragariae culture filtrate (CF) was measured in September. The influence of pathogen growth conditions on CF activity and the best CF concentration were investigated. A second test was performed the following April using different R. fragariae isolates on another three strawberry varieties (Addie, Etna and Dana) to evaluate the possibility of using this method for R. fragariae resistance screening. | |
