EFFECT OF MOUNTAIN CLIMATE ON SEVERAL RED RASPBERRY CULTIVARS

Authors:   G. Bounous, E. Antognozzi, A. Standardi, N. Agnisetta, C. Peano
Abstract:
Some red raspberry cultivars were tested for vegetative (cane height and diameter, cane number) and productivity (yield, weight and size of fruit) characteristics in a mountain environment where they are usually grown in Italy.

Analytical parameters were considered and phenological phases were observed (bud burst, blooming and ripening season). 'Willamette', 'Meeker' and 'Fairview' proved to be best suited to the environment.
