Authors:   M. Stanisavljevic, I. Dulic
Abstract:
The paper presents 2-year (1985–86) results from the study on the contents of dry matter, total mineral substances and some macro- and micronutrients in the buds of the following black currant (Ribes nigrum L.) cvs: Amos Black, Baldwin, Ben Lomond, Ben More, Ben Nevis, Black Reward, Cotswold Cross, Daniels' September, Malling Jet, Mendip Cross and Wellington XXX. The buds were collected at the bud burst stage. The contents of dry matter, total mineral substances and macronutrients were expressed in % and those of micronutrients in μg/g dry matter. The average dry matter content ranged from 32.68 to 37.49%, total elements from 5.49 to 6.55%, N from 2.40 to 3.11%, P from 0.405 to 0.566, K from 0.772 to 1.086%, Ca from 0.95 to 1.28%, Mg from 0.210 to 0.256%, Fe from 89.2 to 144.6 μg, Zn from 30.6 to 51.6 μg, Mn from 19.8 to 51.8 μg, Cu from 16.1 to 30.5 μg, B from 57.6 to 102.2 μg.
