Abstract:
Timing in field vegetable production is still using Heat-Unit system completed with local observations.
A timing program ought to be completed with a prognostication system which will give possibilities for changing in the planning of the market situation.
Timing for greenhouse vegetables is not so necessary.
These crops need prognostication.
Exemples are given on timing and prognostication in different crops.
A method for planning of greenhouse production on horticultural firms used in Sweden is described.
