| Abstract:
The winters of 1984–85, 1985–86, and 1986–87 caused cold injury of trees in every peach orchard in Hungary. The repeated freezes caused particularly great crop losses on plain locations. We studied the frost damage on vegetative and flower buds and in the xylem of twigs. We determined the sensitive varieties which can be grown only in orchards at favourable locations. | |
