Abstract:
Stem internodes derived from pot cultivar 'Mini Pinky growing in a glasshouse were sterilized in NaC10 and divided into 2–3 mm segments without axillary buds.
Thus prepared stem explants were placed on Murashige-Skoog medium containing macroelements reduced to one half.
The effects of BA (0; 10-7 M) and IAA (0; 10-5 M) on regeneration capabilities of internodal segments were examined.
Both adventitious shoots and roots developed after application of BA 10-7M and IAA 10-5M. Sparadically, adventitious shoots were formed on BA 10-7 M containing medium.
Medium with IAA 10-5M stimulated regeneration of roots.
Callus formation was observed on all growing explants, also in control treatment without any growth regulators.
