Abstract:
Shoot tips proliferated in vitro were used as explants to determine the effects of various combinations and concentrations of growth substances /KIN, 2iP, BAP with IAA,NAA,IBA/ on the multiplication and rooting of shoots.
Three kinds of media were investigated - agar medium, liquid shaking medium and liquid medium with filter paper bridge.
The highest shoot multiplication /5.3 shoots par explant/ was obtained on liquid medium with filter paper bridge /NAA 0.6 mg/l and BAP 4 mg/l/, but the shoots showed vitrification symptoms.
The shoots without vitrification were obtained on agar medium /4.6 shoots per explant/ containing NAA 0.1 mg/l and BAP 6 mg/l.
The rooting of shoots was effective on solid medium without growth substances but was better with the use of NAA 0. 1 mg/l.
