PRODUCTION, TRADE AND CONSUMPTION OF THE SPANISH FRESH TOMATOES

Abstract:
The Spanish production of tomatoes holds an important place in the Spanish horticultural production, where it represents about 30 to 100. In regard to the world production (25, 252, 000Tm in 1967, according to the FAO data), Spain holds the third or the fourth place, depending on the UAR production, since both countries have the same level, coming after the USA, with 5, 642, 000 Tm and Italy, with 3, 459, 000 Tm (table 1).
